Heralding a New Era

It’s official. Against an awe-inspiring backdrop of towering red rock formations for which Moab, Utah, is renowned, the light-truck and off-road communities celebrated the rebranding of the Light Truck Accessories Alliance (LTAA) into the more inclusive Truck & Off-Road Alliance (TORA) at an official launch party on April 18.

What's in a Name?

In the ensuing years, TCIA focused on expanding its membership and services, including producing trade shows focused on the truck cap and light-truck accessory market. As the industry continued to evolve, and to better define its members’ interest in all aspects of light-truck accessories, the organization’s name was changed in 1992 to the Truck Cap & Accessory Association (TCAA).

The Light Truck Accessory Alliance (LTAA) is slated to host fun and engaging events throughout the week of the 2017 SEMA Show, to be held October 31 through November 3 in Las Vegas. The LTAA focuses on creating a community among those in the light-truck segment of the aftermarket industry. Members and nonmembers alike are encouraged to attend the LTAA events taking place at the SEMA Show or stop by the LTAA booth, centrally located within the Upper South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Reinhardt and Garcia Lead TORA

The Light Truck Accessory Alliance (LTAA) is under new leadership, with 2015 SEMA Person of the Year Kathryn Reinhardt of MagnaFlow taking over the chair position. Erika Garcia of BOLT Locks by Strattec was elected to the chair-elect position. The council provides opportunities for its members to network, attend education seminars, gain product and brand exposure for their companies, and more.
