When SEMA Ignited debuted in 2014, it gave consumers a chance to join in the excitement at the official SEMA Show after-party. With thousands of consumers and automotive enthusiasts in attendance, the 2015 SEMA Ignited made news. The event gave consumers a chance to get up close to one-of-a-kind vehicle builds, meet celebrities and bear witness as the winner of the SEMA Battle of the Builders competition was announced.

For 2015, that individual is Kathryn Reinhardt of MagnaFlow, who found herself named SEMA Person of the Year at the recent 2015 SEMA Show Industry Banquet in Las Vegas.

A series of awards are bestowed upon four vehicle models each year at the SEMA Show. In essence, the SEMA Award represents the industry’s choices for the most accessory-friendly vehicles entering the coming year. The selections include awards for the hottest car, truck, 4x4-SUV and sport compact, and they are determined through a count of the vehicles that exhibitors have chosen to display in their booths. This marks the fourth year that the SEMA Award presentations have been made.

The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) announced today the Top Ten builders in the SEMA Battle of the Builders® Competition. They now advance to the next round where showgowers and the public watch as they evaluate and judge one another’s vehicle before the ultimate winner is announced at SEMA Ignited on Friday, November 6. The Top Ten builders will judge each other on Friday, November 6 from 11:00am to 2:30pm and the Top Three Finalists will be announced at 3:30pm at the SEMA Show Car Crazy Stage. The winner will be announced later that evening at SEMA Ignited.
