The Professional Restylers Organization (PRO) held its annual industry awards reception at the 2016 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The event provided restyling professionals with an opportunity to enjoy an evening of networking in a relaxing environment out by the Westgate Resort & Casino pool deck. The council recognized restyling companies and individuals in its awards ceremony. Four awards were announced.
Scott Wolin is an industry veteran who has served in a number of roles within SEMA and the Professional Restylers Organization (PRO) over the past 25 years. He became PRO’s chair on July 1, his second run in the position. Wolin is the sales manager for Chicago Parts & Sound (CPS), a company focused on supporting dealership customers by improving their sales. As such, he focuses on educating dealers about the benefits of accessorizing and growing CPS’s key markets.
The Professional Restylers Organization (PRO) recently released the second edition of the “PRO Sales Training Manual,” a resource designed to help restylers, trimmers and accessory retailers build more successful dealer-direct sales strategies. The original idea for the resource came about at a long-range planning meeting a decade ago.
The Professional Restylers Organization (PRO) hosted its annual long-range planning meeting this past summer at the SEMA Garage Industry Innovations Center in Diamond Bar, California. The meeting was scheduled to coincide with the SEMA Garage open house and the annual Installation Gala, and members of the PRO select committee and a number of at-large members met and discussed issues, challenges and opportunities affecting restylers and accessory manufacturers.
It’s official! Four incumbents and three freshmen have joined the Professional Restylers Organization (PRO) select committee. Incumbents include Bob Carnahan; Dave Edmondson, Roadwire Inc.; Ginger Glover, Truckers Toy Store; and Ellen McKoy, EMK Marketing. Newcomers are Kimberly Callahan, Insignia Group; Mike Timmons, BedRug; and Steve Weimar, Rosen Entertainment Products. On the morning of July 16, 2014, SEMA-member restylers, accessory manufacturers and retailers—all of whom are involved in the restyling industry—are invited to gather at the SEMA Garage–Industry Innovations Center in Diamond Bar, California, to discuss the current state of the industry and explore new opportunities for the future. This annual Professional Restylers Organization (PRO) long-range planning meeting is a chance for all employees of PRO-member companies and potential members to network and discuss industry-related issues. Attendees can help determine the focus and direction of the council for the next year and beyond.
Each year at the SEMA Show, members of the Professional Restylers Organization (PRO) staff a booth, host a reception and hold an open membership meeting. These activities give members a chance to connect with each other as well as share information about the benefits of council membership with Show attendees who are not a part of the group. When new members do join, council leadership does its best to help them get plugged in.
