Building on the success of the sold-out 2013 Rep Technology Roundtable, SEMA’s Manufacturers’ Representative Network (MRN) will again host a collection of business-critical discussions moderated by industry thought leaders on November 2, 2014, from 3:30 p.m.–6:00 p.m. at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino (formerly the LVH), Ballrooms D–E. Through intimate roundtable discussions, attendees will have the opportunity ask questions and receive practical solutions that address real-world issues. 2014 topics include:
SEMA’s Emerging Trends & Technology Network (ETTN) will take a more active role at this year’s SEMA Show. Network members were encouraged to attend the Young Executives Network reception last year, but the networks will collaborate for a joint event in 2014.
The evening reception will run from 5:00 p.m.–7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 4, in Ballroom C of the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino (formerly the LVH) and will offer an ideal opportunity for new or prospective members to learn more about the focus and goals of the groups from volunteer leaders and veteran members.
As SEMA Show attendees walk through South Hall during Show week, the creativity of the Wheel & Tire Council’s (WTC) members will be evident. In 2014, WTC will host a few main attractions for members of the segment, including a general membership meeting, a seminar and the industry awards reception. These events will ensure that members stay up to date with important developments in the council and in the industry as a whole.
The Professional Restylers Organization (PRO) hosted its annual long-range planning meeting this past summer at the SEMA Garage Industry Innovations Center in Diamond Bar, California. The meeting was scheduled to coincide with the SEMA Garage open house and the annual Installation Gala, and members of the PRO select committee and a number of at-large members met and discussed issues, challenges and opportunities affecting restylers and accessory manufacturers.
The fall and winter months are busy for members of SEMA’s Motorsports Parts Manufacturers Council (MPMC), as many exhibit at both the SEMA Show in Las Vegas and the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Show in Indianapolis. These shows represent two of the biggest weeks of the year for MPMC members. Though much of the council’s focus is placed on preparing a lineup of events for the December PRI Show, MPMC will also power two seminars at the 2014 SEMA Show. Eugene Zelek Jr., co-chair of the antitrust and trade regulation group for Freeborn & Peters LLP, has designed these back-to-back sessions to help members navigate the ins and outs of pricing policies.
