Ten Emerging Trends & Technology Network (ETTN) members recently participated in a professional development program designed to enhance their leadership skills, improve task skills and provide insight into the latest trends and technical advancements. The Social Media Strategies Summit was the first of three events for 2015, held at the beginning of February at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, Nevada.
SEMA’s Emerging Trends & Technology Network (ETTN) will take a more active role at this year’s SEMA Show. Network members were encouraged to attend the Young Executives Network reception last year, but the networks will collaborate for a joint event in 2014.
The evening reception will run from 5:00 p.m.–7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 4, in Ballroom C of the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino (formerly the LVH) and will offer an ideal opportunity for new or prospective members to learn more about the focus and goals of the groups from volunteer leaders and veteran members.
For the first time, the Emerging Trends and Technology Network (ETTN) will partner with SEMA’s Young Executives Network (YEN) to host an after-hours reception for members at the SEMA Show. By holding the event in conjunction with YEN, ETTN hopes to provide its members with an opportunity to connect with others outside of the network. Since there is quite a bit of crossover in membership between the groups, a joint networking event is a natural fit.
The Emerging Trends & Technology Network (ETTN) is still a relatively new SEMA network, but the group’s stated mission is to educate members about the latest trends, including those in marketing. One way the network accomplishes this objective is by sharing with members the way other industries operate and display at conventions and trade shows.
The Emerging Trends & Technology Network (ETTN) kicked off the Performance Warehouse Association’s (PWA) 40th annual conference in Phoenix, Arizona, with an engaging educational seminar entitled “How Mobile Is Radically Changing Your Business.” The seminar featured a diverse panel moderated by Tyler Tanaka, president of Cie Studios.
The three panelists were Michael Beller, Source Interlink Media’s vice president of brand marketing, Tim Hayden, mobile/lifestyle marketing executive, and Michael Alvarez, director of e-commerce at Roush Yates.
