The SEMA Installer Certification Program is designed to recognize installer competency and skill levels. The program was introduced in 2001 and includes four accessory modules: Electric Sunroofs (Z1); Body Exterior Components (Z2); Leather Interiors (Z3); and Roof Treatments (Z4). A fifth exam, Custom Wheel & Tire (Z5), was added in 2004.
The Test Preparation Guide & Registration Booklet is intended to
help accessory installers study and prepare for the SEMA certification
tests, and should be useful for reviewing the technical knowledge and
other requirements needed to pass each exam.
