In an effort to move drag racing from the streets to the racetrack, the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) and the Street Performance Council (SPC) have launched an all-new “Racers Against Street Racing” (RASR) website, located at www.rasr.org, that makes it easier for visitors to find a nationwide listing of sanctioned racetracks.

The 2010 SEMA Show Priority Booth Space Selection concluded last week with 1,541 companies securing nearly 800,000 square feet of exhibit space, up more than 100,000 square feet from the same time last year. The SEMA Show New Products Showcase, one of the most popular attractions at the annual trade show, will expand to include two new categories, one focused on tires and related products, the other on wheels and related products.
To help SEMA Showgoers get the best hotel prices while at the 2010 SEMA Show, dozens of hotels in Las Vegas are offering considerable discounts, with rates as low as $39 per night and more than a dozen properties waiving the newly instituted “resort fees” currently implemented throughout the city.
Results of the 2010-2012 SEMA Board of Directors’ election are in, with five new members joining the group and six members re-elected onto the Board. The recently elected members will serve for two years, beginning July 2010 and concluding July 2012.
The 2010 SEMA Show will feature a targeted program specifically for auto dealers on Wednesday, November 3, 2010, from 8:30 a.m. – 1:45 p.m. at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The program marks the third consecutive year that the “Dealer Day Conference” will be held at the annual trade show.
