2012 SEMA Show Exhibitor Applications Available

While submissions are accepted any time before the Show (October 30–November 2), manufacturers that return their ESRAs with deposits by April 27 will have greater opportunities to collaborate with Show organizers and participate in the Priority Booth Selection Process. The selection process is the first opportunity exhibitors have to select the actual location of their SEMA Show booths.

Street Performance Council (SPC) - SEMA CouncilIf you’ve read previous Street Performance Council (SPC) articles in SEMA Member News or happened to overhear conversations about SEMA volunteer work, you know that collaboration between the various SEMA councils is an important goal and objective of Tyler Tanaka as incoming chairman.

This has also been an initiative of SEMA Chairman of the Board Paul “Scooter” Brothers, and Tanaka was pleased to report that the SPC Select Committee answered that challenge with the first joint SPC/Young Executives Network (YEN) council reception at the 2011 SEMA Show.

TORA New-Product Showcase

Light Truck Accessory Alliance (LTAA) - SEMA CouncilThe third edition of the LTAA New-Product Showcase will take place August 3–5, 2012, at the Carlisle Truck Nationals in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. The Showcase provides LTAA-member manufacturers with the opportunity to display their latest light-truck product(s) in front of one of the largest gatherings of truck enthusiasts in the country.

Fiat 500’s Title as Hottest Sport Compact Tops Headlines

The second annual SEMA Awards were presented at the 2011 SEMA Show, casting a light on the vehicle models that are most accessory friendly and customizable. The prestigious honors were determined by the vehicle models that exhibitors chose to display most often in their booths. The awards were presented in various categories, including car, truck, 4x4-SUV and, for the first time, sport compact. Recognizing the unique ability that Show exhibitors have to determine trends and influence buying behavior, media took notice and reported on the vehicles that the exhibitors selected. Year in Review

Wheel & Tire Council (WTC) - SEMA CouncilFor SEMA’s Wheel and Tire Council (WTC), 2011 was a year marked by change and fueled by opportunity. In February, the council hosted an interactive conference in conjunction with its annual Long-Range Planning meeting at the SEMA offices in Diamond Bar, California. Learn & Show, as it was called, provided manufacturers with the opportunity to showcase their products to a local audience comprised of retailers, wholesale distributors and media.
