William Miller, SEMA Senior Vice President, Operations
William (Bill) Miller brings over 15 years of industry experience as an innovative, hands-on leader in facility operations, marketing and special event promotions to SEMA. In his role as Senior Vice President of Operations, Miller is responsible for strategic planning and overseeing day-to-day business initiatives for five departments within the association: Events & Communications; Membership & Marketing; Market Research; Information Technology; and OE Relations.
An accomplished sports/entertainment executive, Miller is a motorsports veteran with a long history working for Penske Motorsports and International Speedway Corp.(ISC). He served as president of the California Speedway in Fontana, California, where he led the track to unprecedented growth, increasing facility usage and overseeing the largest single-day sporting event in California. During Miller’s tenure at the California Speedway, the track acquired a reputation as a successful multi-purpose venue, offering exceptional guest services and hospitality.
Additionally, as Senior Director of Consumer Marketing for International Speedway Corp., he was instrumental in building and strengthening the relationship between ISC’s 13 properties and the consumer fan base through strategic planning, research and promotions. Miller also served as president of Nazareth Speedway in Pennsylvania and held the position of director of marketing at both the California Speedway and Michigan International Speedway.
Miller was named one of Southern California's 25 Most Influential Executives in Sports by the Los Angeles Business Journal in 2004.
Miller holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Ohio University.
