As a SEMA member, you have the opportunity to nominate an individual for the 2014 SEMA Hall of Fame. The SEMA Hall of Fame Award has been established to honor outstanding persons in the automotive specialty-equipment industry whose creativity, dignity, integrity, industriousness, and accomplishments on a national basis have enhanced the stature of and significantly contributed to the industry's growth.

Racing Legend Andy Granatelli Passes Away

Racing icon Andy Granatelli passed away Sunday, December 29, at the age of 90. He was a pivotal force in the earliest days of the specialty-equipment industry, building a business out of selling speed equipment to new automotive enthusiasts who wanted to modify their cars.

SEMA Hall of Fame Member Eric Grant Passes Away

Eric Grant, SEMA's first executive director and member of the SEMA Hall of Fame, passed away on December 23. Grant's contributions to and impact on the specialty-equipment industry are not based on producing performance parts or increasing vehicle speed, but his importance to the growth of the automotive aftermarket and SEMA's early years cannot be disputed.
