Spy Shots—Impala “Eco” Model

impala

Although this version of the upcoming Impala has been misidentified many times as a possible high-performance SS model, according to Brenda Priddy & Co., it’s actually the “Eco” version of the Impala.

Like the Malibu, Priddy says the Impala Eco will offer a four-cylinder engine, mated to a low-energy hybrid system, with an anticipated 35 mpg in highway driving.

Cosmetic-wise, the most obvious difference is the plastic grille, giving it a bit of family resemblance to the Chevrolet Volt. And, of course, the “Eco” badging, which Priddy spied on the black prototype.
