Spy Shots: Yeah, It's Got a HEMI—New 6.4L Powers Jeep SRT8 Mule

Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8

Brenda Priddy's photographers recently caught an open-hood shot of Dodge's new 6.4L Hemi V8 in a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 mule (looking very angular Audi or Cayenne). Looks like any burly V8 mill with a modern-day intake manifold, right? But this one is expected to make around 480 hp and 450 lb.-ft. of torque (the current 6.1L Hemi makes 420/420, respectively). Priddy says the new HEMI is also rumored to link with a ZF-designed eight-speed automatic transmission.

The Jeep SRT8 mule was spotted out testing alongside a Charger SRT8 and Challenger SRT8, both models also expected to receive the 6.4L Hemi.
