TIA is working with tire manufacturers to learn ways to improve the SEMA Show experience for the tire industry.

The Tire Industry Association (TIA), one of the world's leading authorities on tires and wheels, announced that progress continues on soliciting feedback from tire manufacturers about ways to increase SEMA Show value for the tire industry.

TIA hosted a focus group on December 17 attended by representatives from top tire manufacturers. The association is now working with these manufacturers to compile a list of recommendations and will reconvene later this month to discuss them.

"TIA wants to show tire manufacturers that we are serious about gaining their input on how the SEMA Show can be made even better, and we believe last month's focus group is a solid first step," said TIA Executive Vice President Roy Littlefield.

TIA plans to present the recommendations to SEMA for review and response, recommendations it hopes can be implemented for the 2010 SEMA Show. During the focus group meeting, manufacturer representatives expressed appreciation for TIA's efforts to address their concerns and for assembling a group of knowledgeable industry professionals. This may lead to further meetings on other topics of vital importance to the tire industry.

"The SEMA Show is a valuable resource for our industry," Littlefield added. "We look forward to making it an even better destination for exhibitors and attendees."
