The 2009 SEMA Speed Networking Breakfast, Powered by the SEMA Businesswomen’s Network (SBN), was abuzz with activity and interest as close to 200 people met to honor — the winners of the coveted Athena and Woman of the Year awards. The 2009 Athena Award for outstanding contributions to women in the automotive aftermarket was presented to Lyn St. James and Laurel Dasher was named the 2009 SBN Woman of the Year. Jason Bruce was presented the 2009 Mentor of the Year award. Linda Vaughn was presented with the 2009 Lifetime Achievement Award for her contributions to the Industry. The SEMA Speed Networking Breakfast, Powered by SBN, reflects the growing diversity of our industry and is attended by men and women, industry leaders and SEMA personnel, as all recognize the valuable role women have played and continue to play in growing this dynamic market.
