    Mercedes-Benz is accepting project proposals for the automaker’s new midsize van concept. Mercedes will select the most innovative and exciting vehicles to display in its booth at the 2014 SEMA Show. Each of the approved exhibitor proposals will receive a pre-production van and a budget of up to $50,000 to make vehicle modifications based on their design.

    The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) does not intend to issue a federal safety standard based on tire age. The agency announced its decision in a report entitled, “Tire Aging: A Summary of NHTSA’s Work.” The agency has been studying the issue for many years.
