    The annual ARMO Industry Awards Reception played to a packed house at the Las Vegas Hilton during the 2010 SEMA Show. Dennis Gage, host of the TV show “My Classic Car,” once again emceed the event. Gage is a lifelong car enthusiast and longtime supporter of ARMO. He served as ARMO’s board liaison during his three terms on the SEMA Board of Directors.

    Hot Rod Industry Alliance (HRIA) member companies met at the Las Vegas Hilton during SEMA Show week to give out the annual HRIA awards to industry leaders and legends. The most influential hot-rodding companies in the industry hand out their awards at this event along with HRIA’s Hall of Fame awards. HRIA wishes to thank all of the sponsors of this great event.

    Official LTAA LogoLTAA’s annual industry awards reception took on an entirely new look at the 2010 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Playing off LTAA’s longtime support of Victory Junction Gang Camp, LTAA hosted the first-ever LTAA Fall Nationals Pinewood Drags. A six-lane Pinewood Track was assembled right in the reception hall and, in keeping with the racetrack theme, hamburgers and hot dogs were the main fare.

    Motorsports Parts Manufacturers Council (MPMC) volunteers and SEMA staff are busy readying for the 14th annual MPMC Media Trade Conference, which takes place on January 25–27, 2011. The event returns to its longtime home this year at the Embassy Suites LAX South hotel in El Segundo, California, after a one-year hiatus in 2010.

    The annual Manufacturers’ Rep Council (MRC) awards ceremony was held at the Las Vegas Hilton prior to the opening of the 2010 SEMA Show. The event attracted a packed room of manufacturers’ representatives gathered to witness the induction of Jim Considine Jr. into the SEMA MRC Hall of Fame and the presentation of the Sales Team Annual Recognition (STAR) award to TruXedo.

    There’s nothing quite like the SEMA Show to pump up enthusiasm and provide a venue in which to rub shoulders with industry movers and shakers. To kick off the week, the Professional Restylers Organization (PRO) hosted the second annual NovemberFest reception at the Las Vegas Hilton on Tuesday, November 2. PRO used the gala occasion for the 16th consecutive year to salute key players who have made outstanding contributions to the restyling industry.

    The SEMA Businesswomen’s Network (SBN) announced its annual awards to three deserving industry professionals at the SEMA Networking Breakfast, Powered by the SBN, on Thursday, November 4, 2010, at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The SBN Woman of the Year award was presented to S. Kellie Colf from AfterMarketer Club. Wade Kawasaki from Exports International received the coveted Athena Award, and John Menzler from Comp Performance Group was honored with Mentor of the Year.

    SEMA Scholarships Committee

    The SEMA Show Student Program gives students access to the event’s Education Days sessions, key industry events and the opportunity to walk the Show floor and volunteer to work in exhibitors’ booths. Thirty national and international schools took part in the student program at the 2010 SEMA Show, with more than 620 students and faculty participating in a wide range of events.

    Each year, the Street Performance Council (SPC) honors the industry’s top businesses and individuals for their contributions to the street performance sector of the specialty-equipment market. The winners of these awards were recognized at the 2010 SEMA Show SPC Awards Reception, which took place on November 3, 2010, at the Las Vegas Hilton during the SEMA Show.

    SEMA Show week is time to network, plan and honor those individuals who have made significant contributions to their respective segments of the industry. The Wheel and Tire Council (WTC) hosted its Industry Awards Reception against the backdrop of the Renaissance Hotel pool and Envy Cellar. This special evening was made possible through the generous sponsorships of Mickey Thompson Performance Tires, Ultimate Wheel & Tire Plus Sizing Guide, the Law Offices of Douglas A. Frymer, Standards Testing Labs and Tru-Align. The tropical-themed event culminated with the Lifetime Achievement and Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

    The annual Young Executives Network (YEN) reception was help on Tuesday night, November 2, at the Renaissance Hotel pool deck during the 2010 SEMA Show. The reception allowed attendees the opportunity to network with peers and industry leaders, including members of the SEMA Board of Directors, SEMA staff and SEMA Hall of Fame members.
