Hot Rodders of Tomorrow Dual-Championship Format

Facilitators of the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow Engine Challenge have introduced a new dual championship format so that qualifying teams will face off at one of the two top industry trade shows—SEMA or PRI. The top two teams from the SEMA Show in November will take on the top two teams from PRI in December in the finale to crown the 2014 Engine Challenge Champion.Hot Rodders of Tomorrow is a nonprofit organization that hosts nationwide Engine Challenges, where high-school teams compete against each other in complete engine rebuilds. All of the teams work hard to complete the regular season to reach the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow Championship.

SEMA Launch Pad Voting Ends Soon

In July, 10 young automotive entrepreneurs were selected from a large pool of competitors for the 2014 Launch Pad competition. The competition offers innovators, inventors and entrepreneurs under the age of 40 a platform to showcase their businesses for marketing a new automotive product or service. SEMA Show Online Media Center Yields Product Exposure

The SEMA Show Online Media Center is now available for exhibiting companies to submit show-related press releases to be included on the SEMA Show website, used in association publications and promoted to media attendees. The Online Media Center was designed specifically for journalists to find Show-related news and announcements. With more than 3,000 media in attendance, exhibiting companies will benefit by spotlighting their newest and most innovative products to direct media attention to their booths.

Free Exhibitor Service: Spread the Word to Editors, Reporters

Exhibitors have a valuable opportunity to generate excitement for their participation in the 2014 SEMA Show through the Online Media Center. As the Show gets closer, reporters routinely search for updates from SEMA Show exhibitors. News regarding new products, changes to signature lines, booth demonstrations, project-vehicle reveals and celebrity appearances are a few examples of the Show-related news circulating prior to the event. SCORE Brings Top Desert Racers to 2014 SEMA Show

SCORE International will bring the excitement of its legendary Baja 1000 to the 2014 SEMA Show, November 4–7, through its signature off-road activities and attractions. The outdoor, 70,000-sq.-ft. SCORE Baja 1000 Experience will feature a desert-racing exhibit with dozens of Baja 1000 Trophy Truck and Class 1 race vehicles. An interactive pit competition area, exhibits from leading off-road companies, video streams of SCORE Dirt Live through SCOREvision and autograph sessions are just some of the attractions visitors can expect come Show time.

’15 Ford Mustang, F-150 CAD Data Available

Ford Motor Co. has made CAD information available for the ’15 Mustang and F-150. The data is accessible to SEMA manufacturing members who are subscribed to the SEMA Technology Transfer program. The program, which was established more than 10 years ago to help manufacturers minimize or eliminate reverse engineering for production, is available for $360 per year. Other OEMs that are part of the program include Chrysler, General Motors and Scion.
