New Products Showcase Features More Than 2,000 Entries—Here Are the Winners

Local Motors President, CEO and co-founder John B. Rogers helped to kick-off the 2010 SEMA Show as the Keynote speaker of the New Products Awards Breakfast. The annual breakfast gathering is where the some of the hottest products the industry has to offer are recognized for expertise in design, craftsmanship and ingenuity. Two new categories were added to this year's award presentation: Best New Tire and Related Product and The Best New Wheel and Related Product.

Racing Legends Support PROJECT 1320 at the SEMA Show

The 2010 SEMA Show provided an opportunity for PROJECT 1320—a documentary film series produced by the Quarter Mile Foundation—to feature interviews from specialty-parts industry and racing pioneers. They included Bob Airheart, Ed Iskenderian, Louis Senter, Carroll Shelby, “Speedy Bill” Smith, Don Smith, Linda Vaughn, “Doc” Watson and Alex Xydias.

Mike Spagnola Named 2010 SEMA Person of the Year

SEMA presented Mike Spagnola, founder and president of Street Scene Equipment and long-time SEMA member, with the 2010 Person of the Year Award at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

Prestigious Chairman's Service Award Presented to Bob Moore

In recognition of his outstanding and selfless contributions to the industry and specifically a SEMA project known as the SEMA Data Pool Initiative, Bob Moore, founder and president of J&B Service, was honored with the 2010 Chairman’s Award at the 2010 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

Hottest Car, Truck and 4x4-SUV Announced at the 2010 SEMA Show

The inaugural SEMA Award was presented to the Chevrolet Camaro for the Hottest Car, the Ford F-Series for the Hottest Truck and the Jeep Wrangler for the Hottest 4x4-SUV, during the 2010 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

SEMA Announces New Product Showcase Award Winners

SEMA, the Specialty Equipment Market Association, announced the winners of the New Products Showcase Awards at the New Products Awards Breakfast held this week at the 2010 SEMA Show. The event serves as a kickoff just prior to the official opening of the show, and it recognizes the most cutting-edge automotive products either on the market or about to hit the market. This year, there were more than 2,000 new products submitted for consideration.
