SEMA Awards to Recognize Industry's Hottest Vehicle Platforms

Recognizing the top trendsetting vehicle models, the SEMA Awards will be announced and presented to winning automakers during the 2012 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Through the program, SEMA exhibitors who make products for those trendsetting vehicles will identify the vehicle platforms that they believe are best for accessorizing, and best for showcasing the industry’s coolest products.

The SEMA Awards, presented at the 2011 SEMA Show last Tuesday morning in Las Vegas, recognize outstanding vehicles that specialty-equipment manufacturers believe are the best platforms for accessorizing and that showcase this year’s coolest products. To determine winners for each category, an inventory was made of all the new-vehicle platforms on display at the 2011 SEMA Show.

The vehicles have been tallied and the exhibitors have spoken. The second annual SEMA Award was presented to the Chevrolet Camaro for the Hottest Car, the Fiat 500 for the Hottest Sport Compact Car, the Ford F-Series for the Hottest Truck and the Jeep Wrangler for the Hottest 4x4-SUV. The winners were announced this morning at the 2011 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
