PRO Pays Tribute to the Accessory and Appearance Industry

The evening’s festivities for 2012—hosted by PRO and supporting sponsors—included hors d’oeuvres and liquid libations plus a ceremony honoring the 2012 PRO awards recipients in four categories: Restyler of the Year, Manufacturer of the Year, Nat Danas Person of the Year and Jim Borré Lifetime Achievement. The awards are detailed in the accompanying photos and captions.

PRO Welcomes Five New Select Committee Members

The Professional Restyler’s Organization (PRO) Select Committee is a group of elected volunteers who serve as advocates for their industry niche. In that role, they commit their time, experience and unique perspective in order to help guide association resources for the betterment of the industry. The ability to effectively represent PRO’s membership necessitates that the individuals who serve approach council business with a broad understanding of the issues that impact member companies on both a short- and long-term basis. With this is mind, and as the result of the recent elections, PRO is positioned to strongly influence meaningful change and help promote the restyling and accessory segments of the specialty-equipment market. PRO proudly welcomes the new Select Committee members.

Getting to Know the PRO Membership

The Professional Restylers Organization (PRO) is a diverse council comprised of manufacturers, warehouse distributors, service providers, media and, of course, restylers. Local restylers, installers and retailers are often the best source in identifying challenges and opportunities and in gauging the pulse of industry. In order to get a glimpse of what these businesses are experiencing, PRO recently asked a few of its members to share a little about their business and the industry.
