The mission of the Motorsports Parts Manufacturers Council (MPMC) has always been to provide meaningful solutions to industry-specific issues and challenges. Within that context, MPMC directs its efforts toward providing its members with a forum in which to address industry-related issues, develop programs designed to meet the special needs of performance-parts manufacturers and offer new business and networking opportunities.

Press Registration Open for SEMA’s Media Conference

Media registration for the 2014 Motorsports Parts Manufacturers Council (MPMC) Media Trade Conference (MTC) is available online. Through the annual event, journalists—including freelancers, bloggers, TV reporters and magazine writers—participate in private, uninterrupted meetings with executives from manufacturing companies. Reporters are able to select representatives from the companies they wish to meet so that they visit only with companies that are relevant to their outlets. Early registration ensures that reporters receive the best possible schedule in advance of the event, which will be held January 21–23, 2014, at the Embassy Suites Orange County Airport North in Santa Ana, California.

SEMA Data Co-op Announces FREE Data Exports to SEMA Members

SEMA members that sell or distribute products can now obtain an unlimited number of Product Data exports from the SEMA Data Co-op (SDC), at absolutely no cost. The savings, available to any SEMA member receiver in the SDC, totals $1,200 per year and is the newest incentive for members to join the SDC.

Applications for automotive scholarships are now available through the 2014 SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund (SMSF) at www.sema.org/scholarships Students preparing for careers in the auto or auto parts industries may be eligible for financial awards of up to $5,000.

Councils and Networks Honor Award Winners at SEMA Show

A council and network tradition at the SEMA Show is to recognize individuals and businesses who have contributed significantly to their industry niche. This year, the councils and networks celebrated a wide range of achievements.

MPMC Hall of Fame, Class of 2013

Today, the MPMC Hall of Fame honors those who have made a significant contribution to MPMC and/or the motorsports parts manufacturing segment of the aftermarket. Each year, nominations are solicited from the MPMC general membership, and an MPMC Hall of Fame task force votes on the final selection of inductees based on stringent criteria. The formal induction ceremony will take place for this year’s honorees, detailed below, on Friday morning, December 13, at the Performance Racing Industry Show in Indianapolis, Indiana.
