The SEMA Data Co-op (SDC) has enhanced its product data management tools to make it easier and faster for auto accessory suppliers to process their files. The new tools, which were introduced last month, will reduce the time it takes to load and validate large files from days to hours.

2014 HRIA Pinewood Builder's Challenge Participants Announced

The annual SEMA Pinewood Drag Races Hot Rod Industry Alliance (HRIA) Builder's Challenge—to be held July 18, 2014, at the Sheraton Fairplex Hotel & Convention Center in Pomona, California—allows hot rod builders to create miniature custom cars to be raced and then auctioned to benefit SEMA Cares charities.

Off-Road Icon Mark A. Smith Passes Away

Mark A. Smith, 87, off-road icon and founder of Georgetown, California-based Jeep Jamboree USA, passed away June 8. Smith was an early pioneer of the sport of "Jeeping" in 1953, and in an effort to boost the local economy, he helped organize the first-ever Jeep trip on the Rubicon Trail in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

SEMA Hall of Famer “Speedy” Bill Smith Passes Away

The performance automotive community lost a pioneering racer, hot rodder and entrepreneur when SEMA Hall of Famer “Speedy” Bill Smith, founder and owner of Speedway Motors, died May 30 at his home in Lincoln, Nebraska, just weeks before his 85th birthday.
