Ron Funfar, 2010 Board of Directors Nominee
I have had the honor of working in the industry and for The Hedman Performance Group for more than 35 years. My career at Hedman began in 1974 filling the position of Warehouse Manager. I worked my way through sales and operations to my current position as President/Chief Operating Officer. During this time, we acquired Trans-Dapt of California and Hamburgers Performance Products, all the while continuing operations at our Husler Race Division in Alpharetta, Georgia. Managing operations such as these has provided me tremendous experience in all facets of company operations.
I have been intently involved with SEMA since the early 1980s and in addition to serving the past two years on the Board of Directors, I served three consecutive terms earlier in my career. Counting this last year, I have now served a total of four years on the Executive Committee and was one of the SEMA representatives on the Joint Operating Committee. Along with either serving on or chairing the Nominating Committee, I’ve also served three years as the SEMA Show Committee Chairman and was SEMA Treasurer. In 2007, I was honored by being inducted into the SEMA Hall of Fame.
The automotive aftermarket continues to be at a very pivotal point. The past two years have been the toughest I have ever witnessed since becoming a part of this industry. My passion and concern for our industry continues, and I believe that I have the knowledge and experience needed to continue being an asset to the Board and provide assistance in guiding our industry through these challenging times.
I would appreciate your vote and the opportunity to continue serving on the SEMA Board of Directors.
